On this day Amsterdam attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors creating a truly remarkable atmosphere, heightened by many music concerts across the city and the famous Vrijmarkt Flea Market.

LIVING IN AMSTERDAM
Amsterdam is an energetic and pulsating city. There are plenty of things to do in Amsterdam with over 2,000 restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as over 6,000 shops. Over half of its residents use cycling as their main method of transport, making it one of the most environmentally friendly cities in the world.
Amsterdam is also home to one of most famous football clubs in the world, Ajax. The Amsterdam Arena has a capacity of 53,000 and matchday tickets can be as cheap as €35, making it a perfect day out before heading to the nightlife of the Leidseplein or Rembrandtplein. Another must-do is the Anne Frank’s House which is where she hid during the occupation of Holland and wrote her Diary. You’ll probably end up drinking a lot of Heineken when in Amsterdam, so why not see how it is made at the Heineken Brewery, admission includes samples as well, making it the perfect day out!
A place you’ll be sure to visit is the “Xtra Cold Ice Bar”, the temperature set at -10 degrees features freezing vodka’s and perfectly chilled beers, all served in glasses carved out of ice, enjoyed relaxing upon ice furniture. If you’re looking to save some pennies there’s also a range of free activities you can experience. Visiting the street markets, walking through the Jordaan neighborhood and checking out all the local performers in the town squares are all great ways to fill your day without breaking the bank.

Please not that you will not be working for Invasion in Amsterdam. We will set you up with interviews with the major employers, but it is up to you to impress them and get the job!!
Do I work for Invasion, and do you guarantee me a job?
You don’t work for Invasion in resort. We use our connections to land you the interviews for the best jobs, but then it’s up to you to impress! You’ve got to make sure you shine during your interviews and that you work hard to impress your new employers!
How much will I need to survive?
Most workers will cook at home which saves money and they generally go out three times a week after having a pre-party at home, which works out to around €100 per week!
Is it all fun and games?
It’s a great time and a great experience and you make some amazing friends for life and most people continue to come back year after year, but it’s not all easy. As long as you don’t treat it as a holiday then you’ll have a great time. If you treat it like a holiday you’ll be disappointed after a short period of time when all your money is gone.
How easy is it to find work?
Difficult on your own, but with Invasion Jobs the interviews are arranged for you, so as long as you impress in the interview, you’ll be fine getting work!
What do I need to work in the Netherlands?
EU citizens require a BSN number to work in the Netherlands. We can sort this out once you arrive in Amsterdam as part of your package!
Do I need to learn Dutch?
No, most jobs will be tourist based so English is fine (and most locals speak English as well!)
Are all street promotion jobs (PR) commission based?
Not all are, but generally they are. However the majority of commission based positions come with a basic salary as well.
